Chairlady Hajjah Norhayati Abdullah Lau was saying that the event was a starting mark for everybody to have more integrative activities in multi-racial and multi-religious society. She also regarded the gathering was the reunion of one big family of Muslim, non-Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Chinese, Malay, Melanau, Iban and Bidayuh which were the spirit of 1 Malaysia.
Chap Goh Meh Gathering organised by Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA) Bintulu Branch and Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) Putrajaya as well Islamic Information Centre (IIC) Kuching on 13 February 2011 at Parkcity Everly Hotel, Bintulu.
